We track number of words read, and I am so thrilled that each year I have had students reach the Million Word Club. Accelerated Reader is designed to get children motivated to read more. As a supplement to a reading program, AR enhances children's reading abilities and enriches their reading experiences and comprehension. An accelerated reading program is a program initially developed at the University of Wisconsin, and now marketed by Renaissance Software®.

How Accelerated Reader Tests Work
I tutored her extensively in English throughout elementary, middle school, high school and college. How do you take an AR test without reading the book?
I know how to help you confidently navigate and come to a more complete and nuanced understanding of what you are reading, the main morals, motifs, and main purpose of each piece you read. Our focus will of course be on coming to a complete and correct understanding of exactly what you are reading. Depending on the level you are at, our sessions will eventually inspire you to develop your own bold and unique opinions on everything that you read going forward. There are several Accelerated Reader cheat sites on the web, but keep in mind that these tests are designed to measure your reading comprehension. If you cheat, you really won’t know if you are having a literacy problem, and that can be a problem for you even in your adult life.

Can I make something like an Accelerated Reader program for my homeschool?
